I am Bubu. The oldest sibling. It’s just that I got out of the egg five minutes and nine seconds before Biel. My little sister was born later. She is so tiny. I love discovering new things. I’m curious! And also brave. Did you know that I’m learning how to fly? I’m still flying low but my dad said that one day I will fly very, very, very high. And I think that must be almost-close-to-the-clouds high. It will be so nice! My siblings and I enjoy nature so much and we live a lot of adventures within it. We become friends with some funny animals, giant insects, tiny little frogs, crazy birds... We get to pick raspberries, peck on trees, play in the woods, and even take a river bath! It’s true. You can ask mommy... Or did you think owls never take showers?

And I am Biel! Bubu and Bonie’s brother. We are always together in our expeditions. I like to understand nature, see how it works, and collect seeds, rocks, crystals, feathers, claws, and tusks. Yeah! Animals lose these things in the forest. I’ve got many teeth, did you know? It’s not that we owls have teeth. We don’t. I’m talking about the ones I find left behind in the forest. Did you know that I already found a jaguar’s tooth? It’s true. I really like to think. I store the things I’ve already learned inside my mind and keep adding up new things as I learn them. Putting little pieces together, all of a sudden, I realize I learned a whole bunch of stuff. It’s incre-cre-credible! Something else I really like doing is inventing things. For now, they are only little things, but they are going to be very, very, very big when I grow up.

Boo bubu bibi bombom! Bububu Bonie bibibi... I think it’s best if someone helped Bonie introduce herself. This little owl can’t speak yet. She is very little. But, make no mistake, behind such a fragile appearance there is a fearless, smart, and extremely cute little owl. She is so nice and so cute that not even the grumpiest animal in the world would get grumpy around her. Want a super friend? Call Bonie! Want some cuddling? Would you like to talk to someone who speaks a language that no one understands? Bonie. But, worry not, you may not even understand what she says, but she does understand very well your feelings and will always find a way to make your day happier. Bonie is just like that, full of love.

Have you just seen that bee flying by? It was an Apis Mellifera Mellifera, also known as Dark European Honeybee. Her propolis is delicious! You know, I like everything that flies. Even airplanes! But my true passion is birds. They sing, they are colorful, and great friends. My cubs are very curious indeed. The other day, Bonie showed up with an armadillo in her beak thinking it was a soccer ball. She is funny! Bubu is the most talkative one and she’s always attentive to everything: each and every sound, the sky, the wind... She only settles down when Mama Owl starts to sing. Biel is very observant and he is always looking for interesting things in the forest. He likes to collect everything, even sounds! And here in Los Arboles there are so many different sounds that we don’t even know each and every one of them. But, there is an unmistakable sound for all of them - Bubu, Biel, and Bonie: Papa Owl’s whistling. Whenever they hear it, they know it’s time to fly back home!

I am Mama Owl. Did you see how beautiful my babies are? Beautiful, smart, cute and brilliant. That’s not only because I’m a proud mommy, but I’m sure you won’t find, in any forest of the world, little owls as cute as my Bubu, my Biel, and my Bonie. Oh, they are gorgeous! And smart. I think I’ve already said that. Did I tell you how fearless they are? And funny? Have I told you how amusing they are? Yes. Yes. Yes. I am a proud mommy! But, what else could I do if my babies fill me with pride? I enjoy every minute beside them because they grow so fast. Bubu, Biel and Bonie really like to hear me sing. That’s why every night I sing a lullaby for them. As they are still young, I don’t let them stay up late. But when they grow up, they will definitely be like Papa Owl and I, and will spend the whole night having fun!

The DNA of this cute couple of owls is filled with high-level adventures. Grandma and Grandpa are always at some spot around the world, whether it is in a Boreal Forest or up a coconut tree on a French Polynesian island. Their next destination is always being somewhere else, and it doesn’t matter where it is, nor how big or small it could be. As long as it exists, they will be there, ready for another adventure. However, even crossing the sky from north to south, this adventurous lovely couple always manages to be present in the life of the little owls Bubu, Biel, and Bonie. And they try to be always close, not only on vacation but also through amusing and humorous video calls. Every single moment with the little owls is an opportunity for Grandma and Grandpa to catch up and get to know about their new discoveries.
